CAM have nearly 40 years’ experience in security and facilities management, including the provision of security officers, concierges, store detectives, CCTV systems and remote monitoring, keyholding services and a full range of business and corporate cleaning services.
CAM manages a large roster of permanent and temporary personnel and have a proven record in recruitment and training. They are accredited and affiliated with an imposing list of national organisations and command an impressive reputation within their field.
Brief
CAM required an IT support team that were able to provide a more personable service than their previous supplier’s, with more frequent visits and a working knowledge of their system right from the off.
Their head office was running 16 PCs, with a 24hr CCTV control room at a separate site in Maldon running 3 more PCs and multiple monitors streaming a number of CCTV feeds.
Plan IT Support’s services
A new Microsoft server was built to replace CAM’s previous, dated one. All user data and company files were migrated. Daily data backups were put in place, with disk redundancy to maximise reliability should the worst happen.
The email was moved from the original server to exchange with cloud-based access capabilities. An MX email backup service was introduced which, in the event of a power cut or loss of internet connection, stores undelivered emails rather than bounces them back to the sender.
Some office-based tasks were streamlined, and CAM was able to reduce the number of desktop PCs from 16 to 11. Connections between head office and the CCTV control room were made more secure and reliable.
