What to expect - The onboarding process
What happens when you get in touch with Plan IT Support about a potential service agreement? Good question! Let's have a look...
First, thanks for considering Plan IT Support as your IT support partner! We really do appreciate it, and we hope this is the beginning of a long and productive relationship. Of course there’s no obligation in sending a query, so if after our chat you don’t think it’s a correct fit, we will wish you well, with no hard feelings!
If you’ve raised an interest via our online contact form, then your message will be directed towards a member of our management team. If you’ve chosen to phone us instead, then you’ll be put through to the right person to deal with your query.
We’d love to come for an initial visit you at your place of work. This will give us the opportunity to have an informal chat about your IT situation, and will also allow us to see you and your IT in action. Though of course if a visit is not doable – for whatever reason! – we can do it over the phone or by email.
Is your IT working for you or against you?
We’ll ask you what you expect from your IT, how it works for you, and if you have any immediate objectives, frustrations or concerns you’d like to be addressed. It’d be handy to find out who your current service providers are, and how many PCs, laptops, servers and printers you currently have. We’ll also ask about any specialist software you use, and how many people are in your organisation. But if you don’t know the answers to some of these questions, that’s fine.
You may be interested in a full level of contracted IT support, or you may choose to come to us ad hoc, as-and-when you have an IT issue. We can help you decide which is best for you.
It’s possible that you’re looking to move away from your current IT support provider, and we can talk about that too, with confidentiality assured.
We’ll come up with a solution.
After our chat, we’ll go away and put together a plan – a prospective service level agreement. This will include suggested contracted hours, response times, the systems covered and, of course, costs.
This is still at the conversation stage and we can continue to discuss options until you’re happy to sign the bottom of the page.
That’s it! So let’s get to work.
Great! We’re all signed up and ready to start our brand new relationship.
This is where we look at finally gaining control. We may take a hardware audit, and we’ll look at gaining admin access to all of your services. This may involve liaising with your service providers, or previous IT support guys. We can handle all of that.
Your services need to be secure and it’s important at this point to ensure that any previous admin access is locked down. We don’t want to leave your systems open to previous support or service providers, or to anybody else that should no longer have access.
And there we are!
So starts our IT journey together! You can now contact us on support@planits.co.uk or by phone at 020 3811 8030 with any of your IT problems. Plan IT Support will start implementing any efficiencies or cost saving solutions we may have highlighted, and we can also start talking about any of those big IT projects you have planned.
So get the ball rolling! Contact us now for an initial chat, and let’s see if Plan IT can take your business IT forward.
We don't bite! Drop us a line!
