For over twenty years Kaisertech has supplied electronic production equipment and tools to big players such as BAE, Sony, Nokia, Honeywell, IBM and others. With offices in Hampshire and in Essex, Kaisertech deals with fume extraction, SMT systems and static control, digital microscopes, electro-chemicals, powered screwdrivers and other tools for the industrial engineering markets and beyond.
Plan IT Support began working with Kaisertech just before they expanded into their second suite of offices in Essex, which gave us a fantastic opportunity to establish a great office network for Kaisertech from scratch, while still integrating the systems from their existing offices in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
Plan IT Support continues its work with Kaisertech with IT Helpdesk assistance and managed services.
Plan IT Support’s services
Plan IT Support installed a Windows Server 2016 server with a domain controller to handle network and fileserver duties. The server also runs Remote Desktop Services allowing it to act as a terminal server, with senior users logging-in remotely. A data backup solution was agreed, with regular on-site and off-site backups occurring daily and weekly.
Software virtualisation was employed to allow users to access Sage accounting software offsite. Microsoft 365 was adopted, with OneDrive and Teams handling their filesharing, collaboration and communication needs, both in the office and remotely.
VoIP phones were installed – initially in the office but, owing to their portability, were invaluable during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown when staff were able to take their desktop phones home with them to facilitate seamless remote working.
Kaisertech’s service agreement includes helpdesk services, remote and on-site assistance, and guaranteed response times. Plan IT Support manages and updates the virus protection, spyware and spam protection for each workstation and laptop, and performs regular server maintenance.
